  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup raisins
  • Icing or glaze, optional

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

You can use your Bosch mixer to mix these up or do it by hand!

Mix the flour, baking powder, sea salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Cut in the butter until crumbly. Add milk and mix well, then add raisins.

Drop by tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 450 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Once biscuits have cooled slightly, frost or drizzle with glaze, and serve!

Yield: About 18 biscuits

1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk

Mix butter, cinnamon, and powdered sugar together. Add milk and beat on HI with electric mixer for a minute or so until light and fluffy. Spread over slightly cooled biscuits.

Note: My family loved these for a special treat!

These are absolutely delicious!!! I just made them for a late night dessert and My husband and I couldn't get enough!! I made half of the icing recipe because I ran out of powdered sugar and that was still enough to drizzle over half the batch. They are so good that they don't even need very much frosting! Thanks for sharing. Carolyn
