I just love getting new ideas from Pinterest! When I saw this one, I knew I had to try it. You can find the original recipe here. I made up a batch a while back and used it all up. So when I made up a new batch this time, I took a picture. These cleansing pads are so easy to make and my son loves using them. My daughter and I like to use the oil cleansing method to wash our faces, but I could not get my son to do it. So…these pads have been a blessing!
Homemade Face Cleansing Pads
- Cotton rounds
- A small container with a lid
- 2 cups distilled water
- 1 tablespoon mild shampoo or body wash (I used a natural liquid body soap that I had)
- 1 tablespoon witch hazel
- 1 tablespoon white distilled vinegar
In a quart jar, mix the water, shampoo, witch hazel, and vinegar. Fill your small container with dry cotton rounds. (I just used a small plastic throw-away container.)
Pour the soap mixture in the container until the rounds are soaked. Store the extra soap solution in your quart jar with a lid until the next time you need to refill the container with new cotton rounds.
To use: Use 1 cotton round to wash face and neck. You do not need to rinse or wipe off.
