Chocolate Cinnamon Graham Squares

I found this recipe on my old blog and decided to get it over here on my new site…finally!  This is a yummy recipe you will WANT to try!


1/4 cup honey
3/4 cup natural applesauce (no sugar added)
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup Sucanat or organic sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons molasses
2 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cups rolled oats
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

In a large bowl, mix together the honey, applesauce, water, sugar, and molasses until blended well. Add dry ingredients and mix well with electric mixer. Stir in chocolate chips.

Spread in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

Notes: These are cake-like bars and taste so good! These make a nice dessert or healthy snack…enjoy!
