Our family just loves all the varieties of snack balls that we can make.  However, most of the recipes that I have made include peanut butter…and my husband is not a big fan of peanut butter.  So I went in search of a recipe for some snack balls without peanut butter!  We have been trying to cut back on sweets and finding more naturally sweet things to eat.  One of our local grocery stores has been carry locally grown cantaloupe….wow!  Talk about sweet!  Besides the fresh fruit…the cantaloupe, strawberries, peaches, etc…I started making these yummy snack balls!  They are SO good!  I hope you enjoy them!

CHERRY ALMOND SNACK BALLS

1 cup raw almonds (I bet pecans would also be yummy in this recipe!)
1/2 cup dates
1/2 cup dried cherry blend (a blend of dried cherries, cranberries, and blueberries)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
water

In a food processor, process the almonds until they are small pieces.  Add in dried fruit and process until chopped up well.  Add in the cinnamon, and then water a little bit at a time until the mixture is moist enough to form into balls.

Form into walnut sized balls and store in the refrigerator.
