A Review of My Week (01/09/15)

This week we started back up with our homeschool schedule. Because I was sick most of the week, it made it a real challenge, but we made it and got most everything done.

It has been a long week of everyone in our family (all 7 of us!) getting sick – just not all at the same time. It all started New Year’s Day and is ending now with my husband getting sick (he is the last one to get it). In spite of all of us not feeling the best, it has been a good week. The kids have been so helpful and thoughtful and that just blesses me so much!

I have had fun writing on the blog this week, following my new blogging schedule. I hope you have enjoyed it too! I look forward to lots more in the weeks ahead.

As I mentioned before, I started writing in my Intentional Journal on January 1. Because I have been sick, I have not done a really good job of staying on the Trim Healthy Mama plan, but it has been good for me to write down what I eat every day just to keep me accountable. I have also enjoyed writing 3 things I am thankful for each day. It helps me start the day with thankfulness on my heart.

Some much needed cleaning and decluttering was done in the kitchen this week too.  I am following the 52-Week Decluttering Challenge and got some items accomplished this week. Yeah! I will be posting pictures next week when I do my post about it.

A couple of highlights of my week were a note I found on my bed from my 7 year old son saying that he loved me so much he didn’t have enough fingers to show me! Another highlight was a special homemade gift from my 11 year old son and 8 year old daughter. They chiseled out my name on a small piece of 2×4 and then painted it. It was so cute and they were so proud of it.

Before I close, don’t forget to grab these freebies I am offering over on the Homeschool Giveaways & Freebies website! The freebie expires tonight!

May each of you have a blessed weekend!

  1. Sheri, I'm sorry you and your family have been sick! I pray you feel much better very soon and it made me smile that your children made you such sweet notes and gifts. Those treasures are priceless! Get better, my friend! Love, Rene'
