I want to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to you!  I always seem to use this time (Mother’s Day) to reflect on how I am doing as a mom.  What could I be doing better?  Am I loving and caring for my children the way I should be?  Are my priorities right?  If you are like me, it is easy to get overwhelmed with the responsibility of mothering…raising these dear children in the admonition and instruction of the Lord.  Oh how many times I fail…miserably!  But the Lord is teaching me some things about….

LOVE and GRACE…

When I am feeling overwhelmed with the responsibilties of being a mom, I simply need to cling onto Him and ask Him to fill me with His love and grace…making my life a sweet aroma of Him to my children.  Where I fail as a mom, the Lord fills in the gaps with His love and grace.  Isn’t that encouraging?  None of us are perfect, and yet we can do amazing things only through His strength in our life.  The things I fail at are the things I am doing in my own strength.

My friend, Ann, posted this amazing 10 Point Manifesto for mothers.  You HAVE to go read this.  It is amazing and so encouraging!  I am printing it out and sticking it in my Bible to read and remind myself over and over.  Beautiful!  Also read this second article by Ann…excellent!

May I encourage you this Mother’s Day to focus on Him and what He has done in your life.  Purpose to fill your life with His love and His grace… and let Him worry about the rest!

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
