Over the 12+ years that I have been homeschooling, I have read many books on homeschooling!  But no book has quite spoken to me as Educating the Wholehearted Child by Clay and Sally Clarkson.  I had the older version that I read through a few years ago and it was such an inspiration to me.  However, the original edition was written when Clay and Sally were still in the midst of homeschooling their own children.  Just recently the 2011 edition was released for sale and I can’t say enough good about it!

The book was expanded and over 100 new pages were added…plus much of the original content has been heavily rewritten and revised.  Clay and Sally are writing now from the perspective of having graduated all their children from their homeschool.  They even have a section in the book dealing with young adults…it is excellent!

What I appreciate most about anything that Clay and Sally write, is that their words are grace-filled.  I truly feel I am being mentored by a Titus 2 woman/couple…a couple who have “been there” and are speaking with wisdom from experience.

Since receiving the 2011 edition, I have been enjoying pouring over the pages….soaking in all the grace and wisdom they have to share.  If you are needing some encouragement, some direction, some hope for your home and/or homeschool…grab your copy today.

  1. I LOVE this book - I wore my copy nearly out when I started homeschooling, and it's one I've recommended to many homeschooling parents since then. I had no idea that there was a new addition . . . I'm going to need to go check this out. :-)
