Books Read This Week + Books I Plan to Read This Coming Week

I was able to get more reading time in this week – yeah! If you have been a reader here on my blog for a while, you know how much I love books. It is just relaxing to me to settle in a comfy chair, put my feet up, cover with a soft blanket, and read. Here are the books I finished this week and a few I am reading now.

2 Books I Finished This Week

Not a Word

Not a Word -I wasn’t sure when I first started this book if I was going to like it. But I was proved wrong as I read a story of amazing love and forgiveness. There was lots to think about in this one, but I really enjoyed it.

31 Kisses

31 Kisses – This was a fun read about a couple who God brought together through some unusual circumstances. When God is in the middle of it, amazing things happen. I loved this book!

Books I Plan to Read This Coming Week

Mysterious Signal (Freedom Seekers #5) – This is our current read-aloud book. Again, we are loving this series based on the Underground Railroad and plan to finish out the 6 book series before we move on to other read-aloud books!

Sunday Is Served: Sunday Lunch Simplified With Once a Quarter Cooking – I can’t wait to read through this new ebook by Beth Cranford. Sunday lunches are always hard and I look forward to reading about Beth’s ideas for making Sunday lunch more simplified. I received it free for being a subscriber to her site! You Are Loved -I started reading this book this week and doing the Bible study. It is so good and just what I needed right now.

Ready or Not (Aggie Series, Book 1) – I know, I know…I am really on a Chautona Havig kick! I have read non-fiction books for so long, I just forgot how fun it is to read some good fiction. Her books are so encouraging and uplifting spiritually too.

Own Your Life – I started this book a few weeks ago and have read through the first few chapters. But, I am putting my reading on hold for a few more weeks, as I am going to be reading through this book with a friend (and she hasn’t received her book yet).

  1. This looks like a great list of books. I don't read fiction often either but I think I need to once in a while. I don't watch TV so I need another way to unplug or else I'll just work all the time! I'm going to check these out. And You Are Loved sounds like a book I'll love. Thanks for this list and thanks for sharing about my book!
    1. Hi Beth! You will love the Chautona Havig books! They are so good! I have your ebook loaded on my Kindle to read this week..can't wait! Have a great day.
  2. Hi Sheri! I plan to read Road To Reality by KP Yohanan. And just waiting to get my Manners Made Easy which you made me get! LOL. By the way, how is the rest of HiStory volumes coming along?
    1. Hi Lynn! I'll have to check out that book :). I really do want to get back to completing the HIStory volumes soon. Between all the extra things going on in our family and then our computer hard drive crashing, well, it put me behind. We have a planned break next week in our homeschool, so maybe I will try to hit it hard and get the next volume completed. I'll post as soon as it is available! thanks for the encouragement ;).
    1. Hi Ann, Yes, I love Chautona Havig's books because there is so much substance to them. Just great Christian fiction at its best! I am slowly accumulating all her books too. I have a ways to go yet to read them all though ;).
