For your nature-loving children…

I thought I would do a quick post this morning and share with you some really neat {free} resources for your nature-loving children!  The picture here is one that my oldest son took of a woodpecker at his suet feeder.

He really enjoys the birds and so some of these links are going to be specific to birds, but you will find a variety of others as well.  Enjoy!

Anna Comtock’s book, Handbook of Nature Study, is an excellent resource to use for your nature study! You can purchase a hard copy online, but a free copy can be downloaded here (in PDF format). This is a HUGE book with a ton of information. I can’t say enough good about this book! Grab your copy today and print out pages as you need them!

I also found a wonderful blog to go along with this book. She has put together some fun Outdoor Hour Challenges that go along with the Handbook of Nature Study. Click here to check these out!
