Our summer is winding down and I thought it would be fun to give you a little sneak peak into our summer!
The kids enjoyed playing a lot of baseball in our backyard (using plastic balls of course!). I can’t tell you how many hours of fun they have had playing in our backyard this summer.
My 8 year old daughter and 10 year old son posing with smiles after a game in the backyard.
My oldest daughter loves to paint. She had been wanting to get this painting done for quite a while now and finally had some time to sit down and paint. Isn’t it pretty?
Besides playing baseball in the backyard, my kids love hitting around practice golf balls. Well, this summer a couple of my younger children decided it would be fun to make a little practice green. They used their money to help buy a piece of outdoor carpet and my husband helped them get it installed. They have had a lot of fun putting with real golf balls, right in our backyard!
Of course the 4th of July was a lot of fun for the kids. We had both grandparents over for dinner and fireworks. Everyone had a great time.
Here is one of the fireworks we captured on camera. So pretty!
Then we celebrated my youngest daughter’s 8th birthday…
…and my 45th birthday!
The kids also enjoy playing catch with a real baseball. Some of them got some new gloves and were excited to break them in!
I found a couple of Indians in my backyard! My kids love to play dress up and this day my two youngest boys were playing Indians.
As I mentioned in another post, we have been enjoying the STEM Kits for Kids this summer. For July the theme was the Sun, so one of the activities we did was make a solar oven and make smores. Here is a picture of our oven and the smores we made!
This was a picture from our Water Fun day. The kids had lots of fun splashing around in our little pool and running through the sprinkler.
My two oldest (15 and 21) enjoying a game of Trouble together. We have had fun this summer pulling out some games we haven’t played in a while.
This summer has gone by fast, but it has been fun. We enjoyed lots of happy and memorable times together. Now I am looking forward to switching gears as we head into the fall, homeschool starting up again, and all the fun learning times we will have together.
I pray each of you have had a wonderful summer and enjoyed lots of happy times with your family!
