I just found out about a neat little newsletter service that some of you may be interested in! Â It is called TinyLetter and was just purchased by MailChimp (a paid newsletter service). Â The best thing about TinyLetter is that it is totally free! Â It is also very easy to use. Â I know many of you have a blog and/or are trying to start your own little home businesses…well I think TinyLetter would be a wonderful option to get you started with a newsletter list!
Once you register you can set up a “Welcome email” that will be sent out to all new subscribers. Â This email can include a fun freebie if you want…a download or something…or simply a nice welcome email. Â Once you have your settings the way you want them, then you can get the URL to the subscription form OR get the HTML code to put on your own website or blog.
If you ever decide that you want to move over to a paid service, you can easily export your contact list and then import it into your new service (like aWeber or MailChimp).
I can see this also being used for personal use…sending out a family newsletter to family and friends. Â The benefit of using TinyLetter is that there is no limit to the number of subscribers and emails sent out at one time. Â Most email services like Gmail have limits on how many contacts you can send an email to at one time. Â This removes that limit. Â So if you have a list of 100 people, you can easily send out a newsletter to them all.
