Book Review: York Proceeded On

Catherine Jamie sent me a copy of her new book, York Proceeded On, to review. I decided last week to read it during our read-aloud time in the afternoons. My kids love reading about the Lewis & Clark Expedition, so this was a fun read for us!
Catherine has done a wonderful job of telling the story from York’s perspective (York was Captain Clark’s personal slave). I learned some things I never knew before and it gave me a whole new appreciation for what slaves went through.
It is only six chapters, so it can be read in only a few days. I highly recommend it!
