A friend of mine, Anjie, found this recipe for making your own Lysol. She has tried it and really likes it. She also said it works great on ants…kills them on contact! Anjie uses this in place of several other cleaners. I can’t wait to give it a try!
Update: Anjie emailed me with another use for this cleaner! Here is Anjie’s email:
“I just found another use for the product! It works great as a carpet spot cleaner. For old stains I let it sit with paper towels on it and something heavy then wipe the spot with a wet rag after letting it sit for awhile.”
Homemade Lysol
- 16 oz. distilled water
- 3 Tablespoons Castille soap (Anjie used lavender scent)
- 20-30 drops tea tree oil
Mix all ingredients in a spray bottle. Simple!
