It has been a good week so far and we are all pretty excited about moving into a lighter summer schedule. Our homeschool is winding down for the summer and that means more time for some extra fun and memory making with the kids! I was able to finish up three books this week and am looking forward to starting some new ones this coming week. Have I told you how much I enjoy reading? Ok — maybe a time or two! If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out!
Here are the books I finished and the ones that I plan on reading this coming week.
3 Books I Finished This Week
Annie Henry and the Birth of Liberty (Adventures in the American Revolution-Book 2) – The kids and I have really been enjoying this series. We are starting Book 3 in this series this week and plan to finish up with Book 4 before we move onto something else. This is a great series!
Effective Immediately (The Agency Files-Book 3) – This is the last book in this series (so far) and it is another good one. I finished up this one this week and it was another good one. I love all of Chautona Havig’s books and am planning to start another one this week!
Unbreakable (Road to Kingdom Vol. 2)Â – This is another great book by Nancy Mehl. I enjoyed vol. 2 in this series and am anxious to start vol. 3 maybe next week.
Books I Plan to Read This Coming Week
Annie Henry and the Mysterious Stranger (Adventures in the American Revolution-Book 3) – We are starting this book this week in our read-aloud time in the afternoon. The kids have really been enjoying this series and it was a perfect fit to round out our history studies for the year!
How to Really Love Your Child – I have had this book on my Kindle for quite some time and never have read it yet. Recently several friends have commented on it and how good it is, so I am going to begin reading this one this week.
The Matchmakers of Holly Circle – This is another Chautona Havig book! I know it is kind of a Christmas theme, but it looked fun and so I decided to read it. Can’t wait!
For the Children’s Sake -I am still making my way slowly through this book and really enjoying it. There is a lot to think about as I read, so it is taking me longer than I thought to finish.
Own Your Life – I am currently studying through this book with a friend. We read a chapter a week and then discuss together via email or Skype. This study has been so good and I highly recommend it!
