My Cleaning Calendar

I thought I’d post here how I handle my cleaning schedule.  I am using a wonderful free online tool at Keep and Share to organize my cleaning tasks.  I use the calendar feature to set up my cleaning schedule.  Because it allows you to input recurring tasks, this makes it really easy to enter my weekly cleaning tasks that happen on the same day each week.  It also allows me to enter more seasonal items that happen at certain times of the month or year – such as changing the furnace filters, cleaning out the flowerbeds, etc..  I also use Fridays throughout the year for more deep cleaning.  You will see that each month focuses on a certain area of the home.

Now, I admit that I don’t always get everything done each day.  But that is ok.  I print out the calendar for the current month and place it on the refrigerator.  Tasks are crossed off as they get done.  This way if I miss something, I can go back later and catch up.  It also allows me to work ahead if I have extra time – getting some of those Friday “spring cleaning” types of tasks done if I have extra time during the week.

If you are interested in looking at my 2010 cleaning schedule, you can download that here (it is a PDF file).

You can also use the calendar feature to set up your school schedule, bills that need to be paid, etc.  It really is a neat tool.  Because it allows you to generate a PDF file that you can print out, it not only is an online tool but one that you can use in your Intentional Planner!  Have fun!

  2. Is there anyway you could share this on the site so that I could use it as a starting point for my own? Thanks! I'm new to your blog but I've really enjoyed it so far!
