  1. Oh MY goodness! These brownies are just wonderfully delicious! I was rather skeptical at first because the recipe uses just 2/3 cups of flour......but now I see that the bulk of these brownies is the sugar! Yes, how much can you reduce the sugar and still have wonderfully tasting brownies? I did not have choc chips, so I made them plain...they were still GOOD! We had them warm over vanilla ice cream. THANKS for sharing this with us!
    1. Hi Sharon, If you want to reduce the sugar, I would not use less than 1 1/2 cups I think. I believe it would affect the texture too much if you used less. These are soo good, that even with all the sugar they have to be better for us than the store-bought mixes with all the preservatives. You can always use a healthier sugar like raw sugar, organic sugar, or Sucanat...that would make them a bit healthier :). Enjoy!
  2. Finally - a dependable, basic brownie recipe! This is fabulous. I reduced the sugar a bit and used white choc. chips, and these brownies are out of this world. The box mixes don't hold a candle to these. Thanks for sharing!
    1. How much did you reduce the sugar? I'd love to use less sugar in this...let me know how much you reduced it to and I can add that to the recipe. Thanks!
