A while back Dr. Michael Teplitsky graciously sent me a review copy of his ebook, Common Sense Health Guide: Nutrition and Your Health.  I am always looking for good resources to learn more about healthy living, so I was excited to dig into this ebook.  I immediately scanned it over and decided this was definitely a book I wanted to read in detail…slowly.  Well, this past weekend I finally got some time to read over Dr. Teplitsky’s book…and I am so anxious to recommend it to you.

Many of the topics covered in the ebook where ones I had learned a little about.  I guess I should say I have learned the “what to do” to improve my health, but this book covered so many of the “why to do it” explanations.  Coming from a medical doctor, I kind of expected the ebook to be hard to understand.  But Dr. Teplitsky has a way of explaining all the “why’s” behind why we should make the health choices we make, that even I could easily understand it.

Here are some of the topics covered in this ebook:

  • PROTEINS DEMYSTIFIED
  • CARBOHYDRATES
  • FATS – FRIENDS OR FOES?
  • OMEGA 3 AND OMEGA 6 – THE FATS OF LIFE
  • INTRODUCTION TO VITAMINS AND MINERALS
  • VITAMINS, MINERALS AND WHAT THEY CAN DO FOR YOU (This is an amazing chapter…chock full of information all about vitamins!)
  • THE TRUTH ABOUT CHOLESTEROL AND OTHER HEALTH MYTHS

I appreciated the simple approach that Dr. Teplitsky took with this ebook, making it easy for common folk to understand.  Not only will you come away from reading this ebook with some great challenges to improve your health, but also a greater understanding as to why you should.
